It is suitable for cotton items and not intended for chemical fiber towels or fabrics that are not heat resistant. It should not be used to dry towels that are still damp, as excess moisture can affect performance and safety. The unit heats rapidly to a comfortable temperature, and a built in timer offers 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours for automatic shutoff. On startup the timer defaults to 30 minutes, and the indicator remains unlit during that initial interval. A surface warning notes that touching the interior when the hot surface indicator is on is unsafe.
