The ZW3870XLTF Aqua-Gard Thermostatic Mixing Valve is utilized in healthcare, and elder care facilities at point-of-use installations with 3/8" compression fittings to protect against potential scalding from hot water. The ZW3870XLTF valve has a rapid response rate and precise temperature control to meet the stringent ASSE 1070 standards for installation on fixtures, sinks, lavatories, or bathtubs. It mixes hot and cold water for a final safer water temperature outlet range of 95° to 115°F. The standard ZW3870XLTF includes 3 ports (1 hot in, 1 cold in, 1 mixed out), while the ZW3870XLT-4P includes 4 ports (1 hot in, 1 cold in, 1 cold out, 1 mixed out). Equipped with a thermal by-pass (hot-flush) feature, the ZW3870XLTF allows for intentional hot water flushing of plumbing lines, in a controlled environment to prevent and combat the growth of microbes or harmful pathogens within a water piping system.
