USWF-MB1-1045 is a 1 micron 10 in. x 4.5 in. melt blown sediment replacement filter, It is made from FDA Title 21 compliant 100% melt blown polypropylene and doesn't use any surfactants, binders or adhesives to create an exceptional product independently tested to NSF/ANSI standards 42, 61 and 372. USWF melt blown filters utilize staged depth loading for maximum dirt holding and filter efficiency. The outermost layers of the filter are made of larger fibers to trap larger particles while the innermost layer traps the fine particles down the filter's micron rating. Most of the competition only has 3-stages of filtration, but USWF melt blown filters include an additional layer. This 4th layer of filtration provides a more consistent distribution of dirt through the filter improving its efficiency without sacrificing any dirt holding capacity. filter is a compatible replacement for other popular polypropylene sediment filters like the Pentek DGD-2501, Hydronix SDC-45-1001 and more.
