Select Grade White Pine is a high quality board. It is almost perfectly clear, with a very minimum number of very small knots. It is a great choice if you are building a cabinet or piece of furniture where you do not want the knots of a lower grade of Pine. It makes a nice choice for painting, because there are few knots to bleed through the paint. White Pine is the most sought after species of Pine because of its versatility. White Pine can be used on the interior, or for exterior applications that avoid ground contact. The Select grade can be primed and painted, or stained or coated with polyurethane or many other finishes. White Pine has been used as the preferred board species since the Pilgrims. It has a long history of proven applications. This is a great product to build within your shop. It is less expensive than most hardwoods yet can be used for very high-end projects. It is very easy to work with; it sands and shapes very easily. It takes a stain uniformly.
