Tekton Dead Blow Hammers contain round steel shot inside the head to reduce post-strike rebound and allow for better-controlled hits to the workpiece, the hammers have 2 flat striking faces that are made of 4140 chromium-molybdenum steel heat-treated to 52 HRC and are jacketed with a hot cast polyurethane that's highly resistant to chipping, cracking and tearing, the contoured handles and their textured surfaces provide a comfortable, nonslip grip for hammering and the ends of the handles flare out prevent them from slipping out of your hand.
