Then by slipping in regular 2 x 6 (2 in. x 6 in.) boards, (sold separately), into the channels once fastened to the posts, the result is a warm and fully private, contemporary, horizontal wood fence that has the strength and endurance of a commercial aluminum fence, with the warmth and beauty of a residential wood fence. This horizontal Slipfence system also allows for adjustments in the boards if they should shrink over time, keeping the fence fully private.Another terrific attribute of the Slipfence Commercial Grade Horizontal system is that in 10-12 years following installation, when the wood starts to look grey and weathered, you simply slip the old boards out, and new ones in for a completely new fence again without ever having to set new posts.
