This RIDGID Megapress jaw fit both standard and extended press fitting tools to install fittings on small- to large-diameter pipe and tubing in various materials. Standard press tools (also known as short-throw press tools) have a short stroke to press faster than extended press tools. Extended press tools (also known as long-throw press tools) have a long stroke that increases their capacity on harder materials as compared to standard press tools.
