Like the Shared Circuit ProTerra Plug-in, it's designed for easier replacement of a natural gas tank. With 4.75X the efficiency of a standard ULN gas water heater, it saves up to 53% on energy costs. For added savings, it's ENERGY STAR rated and may qualify for tax credits and/or utility rebate programs. This 50-gallon model is best for households with 2-3 people. As its name suggests, the ProTerra Plug-in features a factory-installed electric plug. It plugs into a DEDICATED 120V wall outlet. It's a true heat pump water heater as it utilizes heat pump technology to heat incoming water, rather than relying on heating elements, which standard electric water heaters use. Note: if replacing an electric water heater, the Platinum Hybrid should be used (30Amp or special order a 15Amp at the store).It's Smart: With its built-in Wi-Fi and the EcoNet app, owners can check hot water availability, set Vacation Mode, track energy, and schedule off-peak heating to save even more. For peace of mind, it comes with a 10-yr warranty and a 1-yr in-home labor warranty.
