Taper punch helps align holes in parts for easier alignment of bolts. A taper punch can be used to loosen rusted or corroded parts. The octagonal shape is easier to grip when striking with a hammer and also prevents the tool from rolling away when placed on a surface. The tip is ground and polished. The materical core design prevents mushrooming of the striking head. Tools are tempered to a hardness of 54 to 58 HRC - not just at the tip but throughout the entire length of the tool. Forged from top quality hardened chrome vanadium steel. Compiles with DIN 7255 standard.
