The Defender Security U 9497 Brass Lock and Door Reinforcer assists in preventing forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass and wood doors. Constructed of solid brass, the lock reinforcer plate comes in a brass finish. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation. The lock reinforcement plate is pre-punched for mounting. The reinforcer is designed for snug fit on a 1-3/4 inch thick doors that have mortise or drive-in latches. Measuring 3-7/8 inch wide by 10-7/8 inch tall, the reinforcement plate accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors that have 2-1/8 inch bore sizes, 5-1/2 inch on center hole spacing, with a backset of 2-3/4 inch from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is non-recessed to fit over your existing latch.
