This limited adapter was designed to provide you with a simple solution to coupling your 4 in. ID dust hoses with 2.5 ID dust hoses. Specifically, it allows you to step down from a larger main line to a smaller branch line without compromising air velocity or the effectiveness of your dust collection system. It features a premium, heavy walled ABS plastic construction made for durability and to withstand the wear and tear commonly associated with woodworking dust collection. It's extremely easy-to-use and doesn't require messy tape or additional equipment. This coupler is designed to provide you with an airtight connection between a pair of 2-1/2 in. dust collection fittings or hoses. And it comes equipped with standard hose clamps so that you won't need unattractive duct tape or a messy assortment of screws. It's a highly useful (and reusable) dust collection system accessory, as it allows you to interchange fittings and connect adapters to keep all of your dust collection tools connected.
