The flared-out design gives you more open surface area and flow capacity compared to a round grate that matches the pipe diameter, while preventing debris from entering the pipeline. Ideal for lawns, landscaped areas, patios, walkways, and under downspouts. The 6 in. Square Drain Grate (also known as a Drain Cover) has an open surface area of 14.4 sq. in. & 44 GPM flow rate. Pipe grate is ADA Compliant & heel-proof. Adapter connects to 3 in. & 4 in. sewer and drain pipes & fittings, single-wall corrugated pipes, & triple-wall pipes. The grate and adapter are made of a combination of virgin and recycled polyethylene, a type of plastic, treated with UV inhibitors to prevent fading and cracking. Removable grate makes it easy to access the drain pipe.
