## Description

The 40V XGT Brushless 3-1/4 in. Planer is AWS Capable and engineered for door and window installers, finish carpenters, deck installers, remodelers, and general contractors seeking a brushless cordless planer.The Planer delivers 15,000 RPM for fast stock removal. It will plane up to 311 feet at 1/16 in. depth on a single charge of a 40V XGT 4.0Ah battery. It is capable of planning 3-1/4 in. wide and 5/32 in. deep in a single pass. The Makita-built brushless motor eliminates carbon brushes, enabling the motor to run cooler and more efficiently for longer life. The two-blade cutter head and double-edge carbide blades increase performance and contribute to a smooth finish.Other features include a spring-loaded stand to elevate the base and protect the blades and workpiece, while the click-depth adjustment knob has an easy-to-read scale with settings from 0 in. to 5/32 in. for precise depth adjustment. In addition, the precision-machined aluminum base is engineered for increased planning accuracy and offers three chamfering groove options. Chip ejection can be directed to either side of the tool for convenience. The blade setting system is engineered for fast blade installation, with an electric brake for maximum productivity.
