Lean ladder against supporting surface with end caps positioned a minimum of 36 above edge of roof. Set ladder safely at proper angle. Be sure the ladder is stable and level before climbing. Wrap either end around the rail, near roof edge, and feed keyhole plate end through looped end. Install either nail or screw at anchor point on roof for attaching keyhole plate. Leave small gap under head for keyhole plate. Screw or nail head: minimum 1/4, maximum 3/8 ."Attach keyhole plate to nail or screw. Pull strap end to tighten.
