It is designed to fit over an existing or new wood 4 in. x 4 in. (actual 3.5 in. x3.5 in. ) post, or can fit over many no-dig supports of similar dimensions. If your mailboxes are secured to any type of wood 4 in. x 4 in. Configuration, you can modify it by cutting it to a straight up 42 in. H or less to accept The Handy Post for 5. The Handy Post for 5 is designed to accommodate 5 Small, Medium or Large mailboxes (not to exceed 9 in. W each). The cross arm is 54 in. Across and 5 in. W and will accommodate up to 150 lbs.
