Why "Mushroom Wood"? This unique grain structure, with its remarkable depth, can develop naturally over decades of continuous use, giving the wood the distinct appearance of being very old. Alternatively, the effect can be achieved by cultivating mushrooms on the wood; as they grow, their roots consume the softer parts, making them easy to remove through deep wire brushing.Both methods are time-consuming and complex. However, our innovative combination of thermal treatment and specialized wire brushing techniques achieves the same aged aesthetic -making the wood look as though it has endured dozens of years of wear. This is far more than traditional wire brushing (see the difference in the picture).Our thermo-treatment process accelerates the aging of wood making changes on molecular level as in the 350-year-old lumber. This process removes all moisture, resins, sugars, organisms, and bacteria from the wood. The product is free from insects and bacteria.Our home decor wall panels are perfect for both residential and commercial applications, including accent walls, wainscoting, wall tiles, ceilings, wall art, headboards, underbars, furniture upgrades, doors, and more.
