Each component - jaws, rail, spindle, and handle - is expertly forged and heat treated. It is engineered to perform and made to last. The steel surfaces are thoroughly nickel and chrome plated for corrosion resistance. It is equipped with hardened steel T bar handle, letting you apply and release clamping pressure easily and surely. Precisely machined spindle ensures smooth operation. The spindle also features a 5/8 in. hex end which lets you use a wrench or ratchet wrench for fast tightening and untightening. Heavy duty swivel pad applies even pressure to work pieces of different shapes. This Capri Tools Bar Clamp has a 12 in. clamping capacity, 5-1/2 in. throat depth, and 2,645 lbs. of clamping force.
