This 1/4 in. Quick Connect Check Valve isolates the membrane from back pressure from the storage tank and provides a solid wall for the shutoff valve to push against. Without a properly working check valve, the RO system will not shut off properly when the tank is full. A great deal of water will be wasted and eventually the membrane will be ruined. The check valve is compatible with APEC under-sink reverse osmosis systems.
