The new AlphaMIG 190 SYN is perfect for small and medium-sized shops as a "daily driver". The unit outputs up to 200 amps and features a duty cycle of 25% at 180A, which makes it perfect for welding anything from sheet metal and roll cages and can handle heavier welding chores up to 3/16 in. plate on a daily basis. Heavier plate can easily be welded multi-pass. The unit also supports spool gun use for aluminum, and can also feed aluminum from the standard gun if the optional polymer liner is used.The synergic function makes setup an easy task for both beginners and pros with selecting the metal thickness and the wire diameter on the panel and the unit will do the rest. Of course, the design also allows the user to fine tune the settings if the machine-provided programming doesn't perfectly fit.The unit can hold up either a 4" or 8" spool for most common wire sizes from .023" to .035" diameter.The AlphaMIG 190 SYN isn't just a shop unit.
